About Down South Crane & Rigging
Down South Crane & Rigging was built to support industrial and commercial projects where safety, planning, and execution are non-negotiable. We provide operated crane services, rigging, fabrication, and construction support for complex work environments that demand experienced crews and engineered solutions.

Our company was founded by industry professionals with deep, hands-on field experience who understood the need for a contractor that approaches crane operations and construction support with discipline, accountability, and attention to detail.
Who We Are
Down South Crane & Rigging is a Texas-based contractor supporting projects across the state and throughout the southern United States. Our work spans industrial facilities, commercial construction sites, and specialty projects that require precise coordination and qualified personnel.
We do not offer bare crane rentals. Every project we take on includes certified operators, experienced rigging crews, and the planning required to execute work safely and efficiently. This approach allows us to maintain control over safety, quality, and execution from start to finish.
In addition to crane and rigging services, we support our clients through fabrication, structural steel erection, mechanical piping, and civil work—reducing the need for multiple vendors and improving coordination across the project lifecycle.
Our Approach
We understand that crane operations and construction activities are often on the critical path of a project. Delays, miscommunication, or unsafe execution can have significant downstream impacts. Our approach is built around preparation and clear communication.
Our process typically includes:
Reviewing scope and jobsite conditions
Developing engineered and 3D lift plans when required
Assigning certified operators and qualified field crews
Coordinating mobilization, logistics, and sequencing
Executing work under strict safety and quality standards
Whether supporting a single lift or a multi-phase construction effort, our focus remains the same: safe execution, predictable outcomes, and professional coordination.
Experience Across Industrial & Commercial Projects
Our team brings experience across a wide range of project types and environments, including:
Heavy and critical lifts
Structural steel fabrication and erection
